In the Kana-doodler, Ginger Kanadoo blogs from the trenches of Squamskootnocket, New York's white hot real estate market. Here is where you can "Ask Ginger!" about everything from hiding dry rot to explaining the difference between ingress, egress and egrets after a few glasses of Open House Chardonnay!

If you love reading Ginger's blog, don't miss her further adventures in Cracks in the Foundation, available in August, 2008.

Ginger,

As you know I’m into historic preservation so this is very sad to hear. Wow, i’ve been here. a great place with fabulous guides. how can we save it? i’m saving two places in Ashland. maybe I need to mobilize a larger “saving” force?

maybe you should do stand-up real estate comedy Ginger. I think you might have a knack for this.

I have been there too! First time I went to the Berkshires or Brwwweerkshiires as we like to say. Of course it was rainy and cold for early Sept. so we had nothing else to do but visit homes of the no-longer living who were a helluva more wealthy than I’ll ever be. Not bitter.

Hi Kay LeDeux:
Don’t ya worry. Rich people aren’t happy, especially dead ones!
