Synopsis
It's desperation time at the offices of upstate New York's Kanadoo Real Estate. After thirty-nine years of toiling in the white-hot Squamskootnocket (pop. 899) real estate market, Ginger Kanadoo has hit a major dry spell. Despite help from her aunt Maxie, aka "the World's Oldest Living Realtor," Ginger can't sell a house to save her life. With no closings for nearly a year, Ginger will do anything to move her newest listing: a "starter" outhouse with water views of weed-choked Squamskootnocket Lake. Convinced this sale will turn her luck around, Ginger pulls out all the stops.
Meanwhile, havoc reigns on the domestic front. Ginger's about to lose her own house, and Harvest, her badass, newly Wiccan teen daughter, gives Ginger the silent treatment, preferring Druid spells, Marilyn Manson and "skyclad" (nekked) coven gatherings to any wisdom Mom has to offer.
Ginger must somehow hawk the outhouse and save her home — all the while fending off Tandy, the venomous, cleavage-wielding rival who's determined to grab the listing for herself. Other fronts in Squamskootnocket's real-estate wars include the haunted, tub-less Victorian at 666 Phantom Lane, and the house Ginger has promised to sell for her dearest friend Regina, that smells like, well...an outhouse.
All Ginger really wants is to reconcile with Harvest, keep her home and make a living in the town she loves. Is that too much to ask? If desperate times call for desperate measures, maybe teaming up with Harvest on just one tiny, harmless spell or two will ensure a few closings, and reconnect Mother and daughter in the bargain.
Can Ginger have it all? Will the outhouse find a buyer? Will Harvest ass-kick whatever haunts 666 Phantom Lane? Will "the World's Oldest Living Realtor" retain her coveted title? Will somebody let the air out of Tandy's bra?
